valentines w out my hero
well, I haven't written a blog in awhile, I am finally getting some peace and quietness to sit down and write so here goes:
A lot has been going on lately. Derek had left on Jan 3rd of this year to kuwait not sure when he will be back but it will be sometime this summer. I in the mean time have been busy organizing the house, also have found a few new hobbies jewelery making and deco mesh wreath making.
I love crafting. It takes me to a new height. I can create and it can be my very own creation and one that no one else has ever done. I have started making jewelry out of clay. I have gotten ideas from a person my mother had met at a local craft show that makes wonderful stuff.
My deco mesh ideas ..well they come from pint rest or my head. I love working with deco mesh and have almost every holiday covered with a wreath. Did a gorgeous valentines wreath and mardi gras wreath. Next will come an easter creation i am working on.
Mean while, simba and rori have been doing great, just playing and driving their mama crazy. Simba is now 5 years old and will always be my baby. Rori, she came from the tv show sons of guns' Stephanie hayden, very sweet lady. Rori is a schnauzer mix. I also have a new critter, a 13 yr old african grey named riki. He has a personality of his own, one day he likes you next day just leave him be!!
I have been doing my mended little hearts support group a lot lately. IT is a lovely group made up of CHD mothers you are the greatest!! I love being around their kiddos and them we have been meeting once a month and also we were featured in mississippi living magazine!
I was on wlox last year again before the heart walk telling my heart story with derek this time. this makes the second appearance for me on wlox and first for derek. HE DID GREAT on camera with me!! it came natural too him i think.
I have been working on losing some weight, I had signed up for weight watchers and have already lost about albs within two weeks. I have been having high blood pressure and low potassium issues and figured now is the time to get healthier.
Derek and i talk every day when he can get connected and stay connected. we both celebrated valentines day this week we both got our packages in the mail a week early. He is the sweetest and most thoughtful when it comes to holidays makes me miss him more.
other than that this past month nothin has really been going on, I have had my mom and dad here visiting from georgia and always enjoy seeing them. I miss everyone back home, but most of all miss my hubby, my seabee, my hero ce2 brown.

hello 2012!!!!
Well we started 2012 off with a bang …
Derek left for deployment on monday evening … i faced bag drag ( watching him drag his bags to check in for deployment ) they had lock down which means simply they are away from family and are waiting for their flight.
This is a 6 month deployment this time .. nothing major except he is in kuwait. A lot has happened since I have done a blog and will spend this weekend typing it all up and posting. I will have lots of pictures to share with you all as well …. I also will tell a little more about myself on here too!!
I hope you all enjoy reading my life the next few months, it will be a rough ride , a fun ride, but most of all a lovely ride!!!
